Trustee Steve Knar asked the board how enforcement of a special use granted for the property at 1005 Rte. 22 has been handled and what enforcement steps staff have taken regarding ongoing violations. Knar said the board should consider rescinding the special-use ordinance if the conditions continue to be violated.
After discussion, the board directed staff to prepare and send a cure letter to the petitioner notifying them of the violations. Trustees indicated they would take further action, including potential rescission of the ordinance, if the violations persist after the cure letter process.
The board did not at the April 3 meeting vote to rescind the ordinance; instead, it agreed to begin the enforcement process by notifying the petitioner and reserving additional action pending the petitioner's response or further violations.
