Fox River Grove board approves multi-item consent agenda, awards 2025 sidewalk contract

The Village of Fox River Grove Board unanimously approved a multi-item consent agenda at a special meeting on April 3, 2025. The package included ordinances updating the plumbing code and the village's commission structure, a surplus-property ordinance, acceptance of the Treasurer's report and accounts payable, the award of the 2025 Sidewalk Program bid to D'Land Construction, a related construction engineering services agreement, and temporary liquor-license fee waivers for three Fox River Grove Lions Club events in July.

Trustee Melissa Schladt moved to approve consent agenda items A through I; Trustee Jennifer Curtiss seconded. The board recorded a roll-call vote with Trustees Curtiss, Hester, Knar, Migdal, Schladt and Wall all voting "yes." The motion passed.

The sidewalk work and its construction-engineering agreement were listed among the consent items; the board approved both by the single consent vote. The temporary liquor-license fee waivers cover the Lions Club fireworks event on July 12, the Arts & Crafts Fair on July 19 and the library summer-reading picnic on July 26.

The board did not take separate roll-call votes on individual ordinances because the items were bundled on the consent agenda. The minutes list Ordinance 2025-05 (Plumbing Code Amendments), Ordinance 2025-06 (Commission Structure Changes), and Ordinance 2025-07 (Surplus Property) as included in the approved packet. The village clerk signed the minutes and the board moved on to scheduled public hearings and other business.
