Mayor Brian Powell and councilmembers discussed potential curtailments this summer; Powell said the city will not “exceed our allotment of what we can pull out of the ground” and noted the city leases water from the City of Pocatello out of the Palisades reservoir as an additional supply protection.
Councilmember Fullmer moved to approve Resolution 2026‑008 and Councilmember Boyle seconded; the motion passed by roll call vote with all members voting yes.
Next steps: staff will bring a subsequent resolution in the fall to address water and wastewater usage and connection fees after completion of required studies.
