The college representatives said the proposal would convert the existing field to synthetic turf to improve playability after rain and to meet NCAA requirements to host playoff games. Council did not take formal action on the field at the meeting. Councilmember Andrew Schoenberger said he supports construction and recommended formalizing an agreement with the farmer who uses the field on W Bainbridge Street. Borough staff and the college will continue the review process and follow up through the borough's normal plan‑review channels before any permit or construction decisions are made.
