Westport Board of Health keeps leadership, approves routine septic plans and appointments

The board approved a set of director‑endorsed septic plans, including new construction and repairs at properties on Strawberry Lane, William Street, Baker Drive and River Road, with deed restrictions required where noted. Matt, the director of public health, presented the list and explained each plan had already been reviewed by the local approving authority and conservation commission. "This is not it's new construction, and it's been through ComCom," he said while listing the items.
Members also approved an amendment clarifying that a referenced in‑town caregiver support group is a caregiver support group and adopted the amended minutes for May 11, 2026. The board read and approved the annual slate of non‑paid and paid appointments, including reappointing Kristen Stimpson as burial agent and naming Dr. Dennis Callan, MD, as medical advisor.
All motions on these routine items were made, seconded, and carried unanimously. The board moved on afterward to other business, including staffing and program updates.
