Gresham redevelopment commission adopts $25.37 million budget for Rockwood West urban renewal

Elizabeth McCann, the city’s budget manager, presented the staff report and told the commission that the GRDC budget committee met May 8 and approved the proposal without changes. “The aggregate budget for the Rockwood West Gresham Urban Renewal District for 24–25 is $25,372,700,” McCann said.
Chair Travis Stovall opened a public hearing on the adoption and invited public testimony; staff member Jontay Ivory reported there were no oral public comments and that one written testimony had been submitted for the record. With no speakers signed up, the commission closed the hearing by consensus.
A commissioner read the motion to approve Resolution No. 53, “adopting budget and making appropriations of the Gresham Redevelopment Commission of Gresham, Oregon for the fiscal year 2024–25 including the declaration of tax increment authorizing the collection of tax increment revenues,” and restated the adopted aggregate amount of $25,372,700. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hinton and carried by voice vote.
The commission’s action finalizes the budget as presented to the GRDC budget committee and published in the Gresham Outlook and on the city’s website; staff thanked finance and budget teams for their work during the process. There were no further directions or follow-up tasks recorded during the meeting; the commission moved on to other business and adjourned later in the session.
