Curtiss Hoffman reported he had sent a letter to the Massachusetts Historical Commission asking them to request an archaeological survey and noted that permits could trigger an archaeological investigation under state procedures. Commissioners did not adopt a formal position beyond urging preservation and seeking MHC input; they signaled they will monitor permitting and any required archaeological review.
