The Niskayuna Planning Board on June 8 agreed to place a tenant-change resolution for FS8 Pilates/Tone/Yoga at 2341 Not Street East on its June 29 agenda after a short presentation by the applicant’s representative.
“I am Clark from AJ Stein Company. I’m representing Ashley for FS8… it’s a yoga, Pilates, and tone studio. She’ll be open seven days a week,” said Clark of AJ Stein Company. He told the board the studio will occupy a second-floor space in the plaza, will include soundproofing, and will use front‑lit signage mounted on a raceway to reduce building damage.
Planning staff described the submission as straightforward and noted the tenant-change materials — including floor plans and a sign package — were complete. Board members raised only routine items: hours of operation (the applicant indicated early-morning classes beginning about 5:30 a.m. and service until about 9:00 p.m.), parking availability in the plaza, and landscaping that had recently been updated by the plaza owner.
With no substantive objections from the board, staff said it would place a resolution recommending approval on the board’s June 29 meeting agenda for final action.
What’s next: The board will consider a formal resolution on June 29. If the board votes to recommend approval, the standard follow-up is town-level processing and any required permitting for signage and occupancy.
