At its May 28 meeting the Clark County Fiscal Court approved five hires for the Clark County Fire Department. Magistrate Miller moved and Magistrate Craycraft seconded approval of Order 2026-77 to hire William Puckett as a part-time firefighter at $13.00 per hour, effective May 28, 2026; Magistrate Blanton voted no and the motion carried 5'1.
The court then approved four full-time firefighter hires: Order 2026-78 (Kyton Joseph), moved by Magistrate Konstantopoulos and seconded by Magistrate Davis; Order 2026-79 (Colton Price), moved by Magistrate Konstantopoulos and seconded by Magistrate Miller; Order 2026-80 (Evan Rowe), moved by Magistrate Davis and seconded by Magistrate Konstantopoulos; and Order 2026-81 (Mason McLemore), moved by Magistrate Davis and seconded by Magistrate Miller. The minutes record that all magistrates and Judge R.J. Palmer voted yea on each of the four full-time hires.
Each hire is recorded at a starting pay of $13.00 per hour and an effective date of May 28, 2026. The minutes do not include job descriptions, hiring criteria, background checks, or which stations the firefighters will serve.
