Board approves VDOT plan, Route 8 easements and several appropriations in unanimous roll-call votes

The board also approved the consent agenda by recorded vote earlier in the meeting. Several items were introduced with minimal discussion; clerks recorded the votes for the official record. No recorded dissent or abstentions were entered for these measures.
Next steps for the Route 8 easement and VDOT plan are procedural: VDOT will continue design and scheduling tasks tied to the advertised projects and the county will execute the easements necessary for the widening and waterline work.
