The Roswell Mayor and Council recorded several procedural votes June 8 that cleared routine business and scheduled follow-up action.
Consent agenda: The clerk reported no public speakers for the consent agenda. The council moved, seconded, and approved the consent agenda unanimously by voice/hand vote.
Zoning modification (regular agenda): City Clerk Long read the regular-agenda item seeking approval of modification of zoning conditions with concurrent variances for the civic and retail development known as Boeing & 92 at 1340 Woodstock Road, ZMCC0126000001. The council voted unanimously to defer this item to the June 22, 2026 Mayor and Council meeting.
Amicus brief resolution: The council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing Roswell to join an amicus brief in Chang v. City of Milton (see separate article). City Attorney Cusack described the matter as a continuation of Roswell’s prior amicus participation on related appellate briefing.
Closed session scheduled: The council approved a motion to hold a closed session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026 to discuss personnel, litigation, and/or real estate matters.
Attendance and votes: Mayor Mary Robishaw presided. Councilmembers Sarah Beeson, Jennifer Felipé, Aaron Brumley and Chris Zack were present and voted; Councilmembers Allen Sells and Christine Hall were reported excused. All recorded motions passed unanimously at the meeting.
