Later in the meeting, a council member moved, “I move council adjourn into executive session for approximately 40 minutes to discuss pending litigation and that no action will be taken upon return to open session.” The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote, and the public recording was stopped as the council went into executive session.
The council returned from executive session at approximately 5:40 p.m.; the presiding officer announced, “We are back from executive session at 05:40.” A council member then moved to adjourn, the motion was seconded, and the council approved the adjournment by voice vote. The special meeting ended with the recording stopped.
