During the meeting the council reviewed recruitment outreach plans and a technical recommendation from city IT staff to standardize public meetings on one videoconference platform. Members discussed bringing materials to the Greek festival and other community events to promote vacancies on boards and commissions.
A city technical-department contact informed the council that staff is working on a plan to transition all municipal meetings to one platform (Zoom) to avoid mixing Teams, Zoom and Google meeting technologies; details will be shared with council members after the technical department finalizes the approach.
The council did not take a formal vote on the platform proposal; staff committed to circulate implementation details and timing once work is complete. The meeting then adjourned.
