Larchmont completes Shore Drive water-main project; lead-line replacements continue

Acting Administrator Alon Cassine told trustees that the Shore Drive/Flint Avenue water-main project is complete and thanked contractors and village staff for their roles in the work. He said the village will follow lead-line replacement work with milling and paving in the neighborhoods affected by the project.
Cassine reported the village has replaced 94 public-side lead or unknown-service connections so far and said that "that brings us down to approximately 600 lines on the public side that still need to be replaced," noting that some remaining connections are lead and others are listed as unknown in village records.
Cassine outlined upcoming work: next week crews will focus on Oak Avenue between Canin Beach and Woodbine Avenue, and then perform milling and paving on streets impacted by the replacements. He urged residents to watch for notices about repaving and parking limitations during construction.
The mayor also announced that the Alma field renovation is complete and that a ribbon cutting had taken place; the field is now open for community use.
Trustees did not take any new formal votes related to capital funding during the meeting; the presentations were informational and part of the administrator's report.
