Mayor opened the meeting and announced that village administrator Justin Dutino had resigned after 10 years of service, thanking him for his tenure. The mayor said the village "wants to thank him for his 10 years of service," and announced that Assistant Administrator Alon Cassine would serve as acting village administrator.
Trustees moved to confirm that appointment. Trustee Pare moved the confirmation and the board voted unanimously in favor, confirming Alon Cassine as acting village administrator.
Acting Administrator Alon Cassine introduced two new hires. He presented Kyle Peterson as the new recreation superintendent, saying Peterson "comes to us from Westchester County Parks, Recreation and Conservation" and noting Peterson has a bachelor's degree in recreation, parks and leisure studies and "over 13 years of experience in municipal recreation." Cassine said Peterson "has taken on" camp and tennis programs quickly and will launch new programming for residents of all ages going into the summer and fall.
Cassine also introduced Jamie Silver as the new deputy village clerk, noting she previously worked in alumni relations and in the New York State attorney general's office. The acting administrator said Silver will work on a new records-management plan and improvements to customer service at Village Hall.
Trustees welcomed the appointees and moved on to other items on the agenda. The board confirmed the acting administrator by voice vote and conducted other routine appointments during the meeting.
