Bothell Planning Commission elects Robson chair, Lever vice chair; approves minutes

The Bothell Planning Commission conducted officer elections as its first substantive agenda item on May 6. Deputy Director Gates explained the bylaws procedure for nominating and electing a chair and vice chair for two‑year terms through April 30, 2028.
Nominations for chair produced two candidates. Commissioner Sills nominated Commissioner Robson; another commissioner nominated Commissioner Lever. Gates administered ballots and reported a tally of five votes for Commissioner Robson, one for Commissioner Lever and one abstention. Gates then turned the meeting over to Chair Robson.
Chair Robson led the vice‑chair election. Commissioner Lever was the sole nominee and was elected by voice vote after each commissioner indicated 'I'.
Procedural business that followed included approval of the April 15 meeting minutes. Commissioner Sills moved to approve the minutes and Commissioner Robson seconded; commissioners voted by voice and the minutes were approved.
No additional formal policy actions occurred during the meeting; the remainder of the agenda was a study session on bike‑parking code updates. The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
