DuPont council unanimously appoints Mike Winkler as Deputy Mayor

The DuPont City Council unanimously approved Mike Winkler as Deputy Mayor after a nomination from Council member Susan and a second from Council member Elliott.
During the vote the council chair called for all those in favor to say “aye,” and the motion passed with no opposition. After the vote, Winkler thanked his colleagues and said he would "reach out to each of you individually" and work with the city clerk and city attorney to update liaison positions and assignments.
The appointment followed a brief swearing-in ceremony earlier in the meeting for newly elected council members; the mayor instructed each incoming member to state their own name for the oath.
