The Campbell County School Board cleared routine business that included approval of the May 11, 2026 meeting minutes, payment of bills, acceptance of 11 donations, and five supplemental appropriations. Miss McClanahan presented the donations and appropriations and the motions carried after typical procedure.
Dr. Stanley presented the district's federal grant proposals and asked the board to approve Title I, II, III and IV applications, summarizing program purposes: Title I for at‑risk students; Title II for professional development; Title III for EL and immigrant students; Title IV for broad academic supports. The board approved the grant proposals.
A staff member presenting the personnel report said the district "currently have 23 openings as well as 2 administrative openings" and noted transportation staffing: "We are still short 10, both full time as well as part time drivers as of right now. He does, though, have a CDL class starting next week. 4 are signed up." The report was approved by motion.
The board also approved one religious exemption presented with required documentation. The superintendent provided other updates at the meeting, including the Teacher Learning Academy participation numbers and summer school registration.
