- Change order (Item 36): Mentioned change order number 2 with Jackson Murphy Contractors for $1,141,008; board tabled return to this item while proceeding with other items.
- EGLE grant amendment (Item 35): Accepted the 3rd amendment to an Alternative Water Supply Grant (up to $521,400) to support water-main improvements related to the county’s Dalton Township project and potential dam-management responsibilities around Silver Creek Pond. Motion carried.
- Force main engineering (Item 39): Authorized Franin Neuhaus to provide engineering services for up to $443,000 to design relocation of the A-to-C force main; engineering is intended to permit directional-drilling installation below fly-ash contamination. Motion carried.
- Laketon pump station screen (Item 40): Awarded RK Davis Inc. $1,238,000 (RFB20624) to install an automated bar screen with a trash rake to reduce manual cleaning and protect pumps. Motion carried.
- Whitehall purge wells rehabilitation (Item 41): Awarded Jackson Murphy Contractors Inc. $857,086 (RFB20625) to rehabilitate one set of purge wells; staff said EGLE requires continued operation and that PFAS was detected but discharges are within water-quality effluent limits. Motion carried.
- VFD solicitation (Item 42): Authorized solicitation of bids to purchase and install six variable frequency drives (VFDs) for C Station lift pumps; funding partially budgeted and to be supplemented from reserves. Motion carried.
- Alfalfa sales (Item 43): Accepted Riesbold Dairy’s bids for alfalfa at specified fields ($43.20 and $45.60 per ton); staff said the bidder was the sole respondent this year. Motion carried.
Board adjourned after reviewing monthly informational reports; Vice Commissioner Arder thanked the county for the recent free-dump-day program.
