Bourne to sign concurrence letter on MassDOT Keith Field shared-use proposal, chair says

The Bourne Select Board heard an update on May 26 about a proposed MassDOT shared-use project at Keith Field. Chair reported that a letter from town counsel confirming the town’s understanding was received that afternoon and said she will sign and return a concurrence letter to MassDOT.
"This afternoon I received a letter confirming our understanding from town council which was provided to everyone. So now that I've received that tomorrow I will sign the concurrence letter and return it to MassDOT based on last week's discussion," the chair said.
Staff confirmed the MassDOT materials are posted in the public packet for review. A board member asked that a related proposal the board received previously be moved up on a future agenda so the issue receives timely attention over the summer. The chair agreed to place the item on an upcoming docket.
The update did not include a final construction decision or funding commitment; it described an administrative concurrence step in the MassDOT process and next steps for placement on a future agenda for fuller consideration.
