City Attorney Majerus and legal staff reviewed edits that were shown in the agenda packet as underlined additions and red strike-through deletions.
Staff described the amendment as intended to address questions and concerns raised about the original draft and invited members to ask specific questions; none were raised beyond the expressions of thanks. The committee adopted the resolution by voice vote.
The policy amendments were presented as a response to feedback rather than the introduction of new disciplinary rules; staff advised members that any questions about interpretation could be directed to the City Attorney’s office for clarification.
