At the May 19 meeting, the Columbiana City Council voted to enter executive session twice: first to discuss collective bargaining with public employees (statutory exception Section 121.66(G)(4)) and second to discuss the purchase or sale of real property where premature disclosure would disadvantage the city (Section 121.22(G)(2)).
Both motions and their seconds were recorded and the clerk called the roll to approve entry into executive session. The council later reconvened in open session and no immediate public action was taken as a result of either executive session during the meeting record.
Council documented the statutory citation for both items in the meeting minutes; staff will follow up in open session as required by law if formal action is necessary following those closed deliberations.
