The Lee Select Board voted to accept $8,887.50 in unanticipated proceeds from a state surplus property auction conducted by JSJ Auctions and directed that the funds be deposited into the general fund. Board members noted the town’s surplus-and-salvage policy and discussed whether auction proceeds are treated as unanticipated revenue or tied to replacement purchases; the chair and members confirmed the funds should go to the general fund.
The board also approved a raffle permit application from Lee VFW Post 1676, and granted permission for a flag-retirement ceremony involving burning at the town transfer station on or about June 13, 2026 after confirming the transfer station director’s approval.
Two appointments to the recreation commission (Karen Rossy/Rosski as recorded in the meeting and Sherry Griffith) were included on the consent agenda; the board moved to accept the consent agenda and approved the appointments by voice vote.
