Council terminated town manager; OSTAB liaison says Meredith Muth serving as acting manager during recruitment

At the start of the meeting the council liaison told OSTAB that on Feb. 17 the town council voted to terminate Town Manager Malcolm Fleming's contract and that Meredith Muth is serving as acting town manager while a recruitment is underway.
"Malcolm served the town for seven or eight years now," the liaison said. He described Meredith Muth as the former city clerk in Lewisville and said she is "spectacular" and familiar with transition periods. The liaison estimated the recruitment process could take roughly four to eight months.
The briefing was informational to OSTAB; the board made no formal action on town management during the meeting.
