The Perry Central Com Schools Corp board approved several vendor contracts and maintenance projects during its meeting.
A motion to approve a corrected contract for door‑lock installations with Intersect carried; the presenter said the project’s total cost is $142,648 and will be paid from a federal COPS/STOP School Violence grant. The presenter noted the board had approved earlier paperwork in error and was re‑approving the correct contract.
The board also approved an Adtech contract for E‑rate administration. District staff (Terry) explained that Adtech assists with the federal E‑rate process that helps pay for internet service — staff estimated the program covers roughly half to 70 percent of internet costs and periodically provides infrastructure funding. Board members approved the contract with E‑rate funds covering the vendor fee.
Other approved items included exterior brick repair on the north side of the building (quote listed around $30,808) and routine track resurfacing (crack sealing and patch work). The Commodore Manufacturing student stipends were approved earlier in the meeting. All motions for these items were seconded and carried by voice/hand vote.
