Hollis Select Board approves roofing contract, RecDesk payment addendum, CIP additions and routine administrative items

The Hollis Select Board approved a series of routine municipal items at the June 8 meeting, including contract awards, permits, personnel paperwork and capital-improvement entries.
The board awarded a contract for the fire station bay roof to JB Roofing Systems, LLC for $37,240 after staff said the bidder was familiar with town facilities and had submitted the lowest price. The board also approved three event-specific sign permits for Old Home Days (two 24-by-36 signs and a 24-by-48 banner) to be displayed Aug. 18–Sept. 18, 2026.
Erica (speaker 11) explained RecDesk — the recreation registration platform — will be moving to its own payment processor and presented a RecDesk LLC addendum and sub-merchant agreement that the board approved. Erica said the new processor would be slightly less expensive (about $25) and confirmed the vendor cannot withdraw funds from the town’s bank account; refunds will be issued by check.
On the capital improvement plan, staff presented a list of new requests, noting some items lacked price estimates. The board approved additions for seven projects that already had dollar amounts, funding sources and expected dates; building-wide ADA assessments and other items without full estimates were deferred for further discussion.
In other actions the board approved a job description for the assistant town administrator, authorized removal of two damaged pine trees on Old Adams Road for safety reasons, approved several abatements and timber-cut reports (total timber tax levy of $4,712.16), approved warrants including wages and accounts-payable items, and approved meeting minutes (with two members abstaining on one set).
