The board acknowledged receipt of a termination letter from Tanner Orwig and accepted CAASA’s FY26 expense report after a motion by Supervisor Seehusen. Supervisors also approved four manure management plans covering operations in Des Moines Township (Garrison Ridge LLC–Schmidt, ID#58740), Swan Lake Township (Kyle Wenell, ID#67313; John Wenell, ID#67314) and Coon Township in Buena Vista County (McCarthy5, ID#70118). The manure plans were approved on a unanimous vote.
Supervisor Seehusen moved, and Supervisor Kyle Smith seconded, approval of the full claims list as presented. The minutes list numerous vendors and payments across county departments and record the total as $631,125.67; the motion passed unanimously.
During weekly reports, Supervisor Clarence Siepker said DCAT — the county’s Dial‑a‑Ride/transportation assistance program referenced in reports — may no longer be active at the end of June because of funding shortfalls. Supervisors noted the concern but no formal action was recorded on the record.
