El Rio/Del Norte MAC approves March minutes; Supervisor Long’s staff reports pothole and sign repairs and upcoming cleanups

At the April 16 meeting of the El Rio/Del Norte Municipal Advisory Council, Julie Hupp moved to approve the March 19, 2026 meeting minutes; Lorane Bailon seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
Ariana Castellanos, representing Supervisor Kelly Long’s office, told the council she contacted Caltrans about potholes on Vineyard Avenue; several potholes were subsequently filled and a sign damaged by graffiti was replaced. Castellanos delivered these updates during the Supervisor’s office comments portion of the agenda.
Council members announced tentative community-cleanup dates: the Harrison Community Clean Up at Eternal Life Church in El Rio on June 6, 2026, and a Nyeland Acres cleanup at Nyeland Acres Community Center on October 10, 2026. The council also announced its next regular meeting for May 21, 2026 at 7 p.m. at Nyeland Acres Community Center, with a Public Works Agency presentation on the Nyeland Acres resurfacing project listed on the upcoming agenda.
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. and adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
