Uintah County approved a professional services agreement with Jones & Deil to provide design services for a storage building at Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery, a project funded in part by the Community Impact Board (CIB).
Staff said the county issued an RFQ for professional services and received two proposals; Jones & Deil received the highest overall score from the scoring committee. The negotiated contract covers $84,500 for design scope items including pre-construction design, soil testing, surveying, inspections and construction phase support. Staff also identified an approximately $11,000 allowance for geotechnical services to be performed by a subconsultant under Jones & Deil but executed on a separate contract.
A commissioner moved to approve the agreement with the geotechnical addition; the motion was called and the commission voted to approve the contract so staff can proceed to the construction procurement phase after the design is complete.
