County awards Western Park generator contract to America’s Generators Triton

The Uintah County Commission awarded IFB UC26-09 — a commercial diesel generator for Western Park — to America’s Generators Triton for $102,950, following a purchasing review that found the bid compliant and the lowest overall price.
Jenny Bird of the county purchasing and grants office read six bids and said the purchasing office first confirmed minimum mandatory specifications were met and then reviewed pricing. "Of the vendors who passed the specifications, the low bid and best overall value would be America's generator Triton and they ended up being the overall low bid anyway at 102,950," Bird said. A commissioner asked whether the county had budgeted enough for the purchase; Bird replied, "they have that much in their budget," and noted the line item covers additional items beyond the generator.
A motion to approve the bid to America’s Generators Triton was made and the commission voted to approve the award. Procurement staff said the vendor selection reflects compliance with the IFB and the project's project managers reviewed specifications and confirmed compatibility with existing Western Park infrastructure.
