Farmingdale trustees approve summer events and permits for fire department, theater group and church

Deputy Mayor William Barrett moved and Trustee Craig Rosasco seconded a resolution (#2026-07-14) allowing the Farmingdale Fire Department to use the Village Green and the Fire Department parking lot for a picnic on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Cultural Arts Committee and the South Shore Theater Group received approval to hold 'Shakespeare on the Green' on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025 (rain date Aug. 20) in a resolution moved by Trustee Cheryl Parisi and seconded by Deputy Mayor Barrett (RESOLVED #2026-07-15). Trustee Parisi moved and Trustee Craig Rosasco seconded a resolution (#2026-07-16) approving a V1 Church get‑together on the Village Green on Aug. 9, 2025; the minutes note no BBQ grilling is permitted and estimate about 50 attendees.
The minutes list expected attendance: about 100 people for the theater event and approximately 50 for the church event. The approvals were recorded as standard use‑of‑facilities permits with event dates and rain‑date contingency for the theater production. Trustees did not record further special conditions beyond the no‑BBQ restriction for the church gathering.
