Council designates AWC voting delegates; motion passes by roll call

After the study session concluded, the council convened a special meeting and took up Item 2: designation of voting delegates for the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) annual conference in Spokane.
Council Member Wilsey moved to designate Deputy Mayor Elfers, Council Member Ranki and Deputy City Administrator Jeff Stefins as Sumner's three voting delegates; Council Member Evers seconded the motion. The clerk conducted a roll-call vote. Council Members Ranki, Malcolm, Kenna, Hawksteder, Evers and Alers recorded affirmative votes and the motion was approved. The special meeting was adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
The designation authorizes those three individuals to represent Sumner City at the AWC business meeting and vote in the election of the AWC board and other matters at the conference.
