Windsor trustees accept treasurer’s report, approve $79,467.34 in bills and authorize up to $10,000 for office IT upgrades

At its May 7 meeting the Village of Windsor Board of Trustees accepted Treasurer Patricia L. Harting’s monthly report and approved payment of bills by voucher totaling $79,467.34.
The motion to accept the treasurer’s report passed unanimously. The motion to pay bills was recorded as made by John R. McNulty, seconded by Elaine L. Card, with the minutes showing an “AYE – All” vote.
Harting also told trustees that the village office needs two new computers and supporting IT work because the current systems are four years old and at capacity. The board authorized a budget of up to $10,000 for replacement computers, servers, rotors, upgrades and consultation. That motion was made by Trustee James W. Miller, seconded by Trustee John R. McNulty and approved unanimously.
Other administrative items recorded in the minutes included flags being placed on the village green on the 23rd of the month and confirmation that the village’s 250th Celebration and parade will take place on June 27. Clerk Courtney J. Decker reported completed May water billing, ongoing Community House rentals, readiness for Clean-Up Day that Saturday and that Electronics Day will be held July 11 at the Town Highway Department. Broome County provided tick-removal kits to the office.
The board also approved the April 2 meeting minutes (motion by James W. Miller, second by John R. McNulty; vote: AYE — all). The meeting adjourned at 8:12 p.m.
