The Brookline Selectboard took a series of procedural and formal actions at its May 26 meeting.
Financial and personnel actions: The Board approved the general warrant (General $711,033.49; Payroll $92,316.75; Police detail $562) unanimously. Chief Jeffrey Stewart provided a Personnel Action form to document the promotion of BAS member Chance Lavoie from Advanced EMT to Paramedic; the Board congratulated Lavoie and signed the form.
Appointments and appeals: The Board reappointed Pat Flynn to the Nashua Regional Solid Waste Management District and authorized Chair Brian Rater to sign the reappointment form (motion by Steve Dolfini, second by Dan Marcek; vote 5-0). On a separate matter, following a Planning Board request, the Selectboard voted 4-0-1 (Dan Marcek abstained) to ask the Zoning Board of Adjustment to reconsider its decision in Case 470 (Lot D 40 224 Route 13), because the Planning Board contends the ZBA based its ruling on subdivision regulations rather than lot-line adjustment rules.
Non-public sessions and minutes: The Board held two non-public sessions under RSA 91-A:3 II (c) and (l). The Board initially entered and later sealed a non-public; after a later non-public at 7:31 p.m. the Board again voted to seal minutes on the record and subsequently took motions to accept and to unseal specified May 11 non-public minutes per recorded votes.
Tax-deed note: The Board referenced a May 11 discussion with Patti Howard-Barnett regarding tax deeds and reported it had previously voted not to accept the tax deed for Lot H 79 (Corey Hill Road), owned by the estate of Clarence Farwell; Chair Brian Rater said he had drafted a letter to notify residents of that decision.
Adjournment: The Board adjourned at 8:24 p.m.
