The Town of Victor Planning Board voted unanimously on June 9 to approve a temporary retail tent for TNT Fireworks at 6 Commerce Drive for the July holiday period, subject to conditions.
Amanda Gump, representing TNT Fireworks, told the board the operator will secure overnight inventory in a 20‑foot metal container with locks, provide onsite staff during operating hours and check identification (state minimum age 18). The applicant agreed to the board’s standard hours and to comply with code enforcement comments.
The resolution approving the tent and special use permit (site plan 14SB2026 / SU5‑2026) lists conditions to be met prior to the chair’s signature, including addressing code enforcement comments dated June 1, obtaining a peddler’s/solicitor’s license from the town clerk before erecting the tent, removing the tent within 10 days if the license is suspended, limiting hours to 9AM–9PM from June 20–July 5, removing temporary signage from the right of way during non‑business hours, and a limit of two signs on the tent that comply with town code. The board also included an ongoing condition that any lighting be code compliant and possibly subject to board review.
The motion to approve was moved and seconded; the board carried the motion 5–0.
Next steps: applicant must address the code officer’s comments and secure the required license before setup.
