Metropolitan Arts Council reports $282,000 operating surplus, invites public to June 20 event

Alan Ethridge, representing the Metropolitan Arts Council, addressed the council during public comment to report the organization's 2025 financial audit and promote an upcoming community arts event.
Ethridge said MAC completed its 2025 audit showing it is "operating in the black by over $282,000," and that the organization had grown since 2006 when it had assets of about $189,890; he said MAC's assets totaled $6.33 million at the end of 2025. Ethridge thanked the city for support and described MAC's upcoming FlatOut Under Pressure competition on Saturday, June 20, where local artists' images will be displayed on Main Street recycling bins and the first-place winner receives a weeklong trip for two to Cortona, Italy.
Council members thanked Ethridge for the report and for MAC's partnership with the city.
