Board to consider reappointment of Leslie Albert to Garbage and Recycling Advisory Committee

Washington County staff recommended reappointing Leslie Albert to the Garbage and Recycling Advisory Committee (GRAC) during a June 9 work session.
Rusty Davis, Solid Waste and Recycling manager, said the county received one application for the open public-member seat and recommended reappointing the incumbent: “Our recommendation is that we reappoint Leslie Albert as our public, as one of our public members for a term that will expire in March 2030,” he said. Staff told the board it would return with a formal action item at the June 23 regular meeting.
Chair Harrington praised Albert’s application during the discussion: “I want to thank Ms. Albert ... for the very thoughtful application for reappointment,” the chair said, noting that commissioners had recently heard from the applicant and found her submission thorough.
Commissioners briefly discussed a formatting inconsistency in the GRAC table in the agenda packet that misstated term-length language; staff explained the discrepancy was generated by the agenda system (Granicus) and will correct the description before the action item. No vote was taken on June 9; the reappointment will be considered on June 23.
