Ashwaubenon board approves summer Early College Credit request; district will cover one course
Summary
The board approved a request for one student to take three Early College Credit/Start College Now summer courses; under district rules the district will pay for one of the courses. The motion passed unanimously, 5-0.
Dirk Ribbens presented a summer enrollment request Feb. 11 under the Early College Credit/Start College Now program: one student requested to take three college-credit courses over the summer. Ribbens said district policy on maximum permitted credits means the district is responsible for covering the cost of one course.
Board Member Brian Anderson moved to approve the summer enrollment requests as presented; Board Member Brett VandeWalle seconded. The board voted unanimously to approve the request, 5-0 (Vyskocil, Garrigan, VandeWalle, Anderson, VanDeKreeke).
Meeting minutes note this is the second summer the district has received such enrollment requests for ECC/SCN. The approval was recorded as routine board action; no additional conditions were noted.
