Florence council reappoints members to code enforcement and zoning boards

Mayor presented municipal order MO 5-20-26 to reappoint James E. Johnson to the Florence Code Enforcement Board for a three-year term. He's been with us since the beginning, takes his job very seriously, and I appreciate the amount of time that he's put in." The council approved the reappointment by roll call, 5-0.
The council then approved MO 6-2026 reappointing Bill Sharp to the Code Enforcement Board for a three-year term; council members noted Sharp's cooperation with conditions and restrictions. The motion passed by roll call, 5-0.
MO 7-2026 named Amy Stewart as Florence's representative and Joseph Newton as the city's alternate to the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) intermodal coordinating committee. Mayor said the appointments had been discussed at the prior caucus meeting; the council approved the appointments 5-0.
Council also approved MO 08/2026 reappointing Linda Schaeffer to the Florence Board of Adjustment and Zoning Appeals for a four-year term. That motion passed by roll call, 5-0.
The measures were presented as routine appointments; each was moved, seconded and approved without further dissent. The clerk recorded unanimous votes for each item.
