Dr. Lyanna Stein called for the Sky View pilot data and said the public had not seen task‑force deliverables (minutes, slides, member lists). She warned that without baselines, controls and consistent assessments "next year's metrics are condemned to be inconclusive." Jen Carr asked that differentiation and accommodations be clearly defined, that parents be active partners in developing success criteria during the six‑month evaluation window, and that measures reflect more than a single year of academic growth.
Highcap Parents Council president Ashley Watts thanked the district for moving the rollout to pilot status and requested partnership in determining which data will be collected and how success will be judged. Alumni testimony (Jishnu Meta) emphasized that cohort‑based AAP models had supported his academic and social growth and warned that prior reductions in extracurriculars and specialized programs have already diminished middle‑school enrichment opportunities.
No board action to adopt or finalize the AAP service model was recorded at this meeting; speakers asked the board to pause or clarify the rollout until measurable, transparent metrics and training plans are in place.
