In other business, Council approved a permanent change to the Council Committees meeting schedule: meetings will be held the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Council also considered a request from a local church to hold Sunday morning services in Village Hall and set rental fees: $70 for six hours with no food; $85 for six hours if food is served; $90 for 12 hours; and an additional $10 per hour when food is served to cover extra cleaning.
Secretary Dianna Zimmerman reported approximately 20–25 quilt squares had been handed in and that 12 people were signed up for a craft night scheduled for June 16, 2026. Councilor Pat Pileggi said Kite Day drew about 20–40 people and that the dog park was in use. Councilor Jordan Sites reported the former Sunny Ray grocery store is off the market; President Smith asked Secretary Zimmerman to contact Robin Fitzpatrick with the Adams County Economic Alliance to explore attracting a new business to the property.
The council acknowledged receipt of the Draft 2027–2030 Adams County Transportation Improvement Program. There were no public comments recorded. The council scheduled its next regular meeting for May 26, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. On a motion by Councilor Camille Cline, seconded by Councilor Jordan Sites, the meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
