Kewanee council affirms appointments, accepts delayed FY2025 audit and adopts budget amendment

On the audit, the record states this year’s FY2025 audit was completed later than usual but that the city has implemented process improvements intended to make future audits more efficient. Council members thanked a staff member identified as Courtney for work on resolving audit matters.
Public comment included a brief statement from Matthew Neirynck, who said he felt targeted by ordinance violations he received and by related court proceedings.
