The Thousand Oaks City Council unanimously approved recommendations from the Community Funding Review Committee to allocate $199,952.90 to 34 eligible nonprofit organizations under the FY 2026–27 Community Social Services Grant (CSSG) program.
Committee Chair Kyle Warbach told the council that the program received 34 applications and that committee members independently scored and discussed allocations to ensure equitable distribution. He said the total recommended allocation—$199,952.90—was developed because requests exceeded available funding and the committee sought a method to spread funds across all eligible applicants.
The CSSG program carries $200,000 in annual funding and is restricted to 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in or primarily serving Thousand Oaks. Staff said the application period ran March 16 through April 16, 2026, and outreach included the city website, newsletter and a recorded application workshop.
Council approved the recommendations by a 5–0 vote.
