The Adams‑Friendship Area School District board unanimously approved a recommended branding style guide on June 8, endorsing three primary marks (the AF mark, a trident mark and word marks) and a set of official colors for district use.
Staff told the board the process included a small public survey, a nine‑person community committee convened by Letterman Creative and multiple design iterations. Board members discussed use cases such as letterhead, gym floor, uniforms and team apparel and raised concerns about having too many word‑mark choices; staff said the guide is intended to provide flexible, consistent options and that administrators would set policies on which marks appear in which contexts.
Board discussion noted historical elements were incorporated into the designs (a detail presenter said nods to the community’s railroad heritage) and that the recommended package had been refined from dozens of options into a narrower set intended for trademark and long‑term use. The motion to approve passed on a roll call vote with no dissent.
What’s next: administrators will publish the style guide in the district’s materials and coordinate implementation details such as letterhead standards and uniform guidance.
