A volunteer flight physician who participated in a medical evacuation recounted transporting a shooting victim from Australia to Israel and described the emotional and logistical aspects of such missions, and thanked the city for inviting the delegation.
The dedication, readings and guest remarks took place early in the meeting after the commission amended the agenda to permit the recognition. Mayor Cooper and commissioners thanked staff and public‑safety personnel who organized the event.
