Middletown board approves George School master plan, development amendments, website contract and budgeted equipment

Public comment raised stormwater and downstream drainage concerns; staff and the engineer said each phase must meet stormwater requirements.
The board also granted amended final land‑development approval to Neshaminy Springs (1700 Woodburn Road) to allow installation of street lighting for 66 townhouse units. Staff said the change was reviewed by the planning commission and consultants and found to raise no new issues; the motion carried 5‑0.
Staff recommended and the board approved a contract with Exemplify to develop a new township website at an implementation price of $70,000 and an annual maintenance fee of $15,600, subject to final solicitor review. Public Information Officer Liz Martin said the vendor was the lowest interviewed finalist, that the township’s current platform reaches end of life at year end, and that the redesign is needed for ADA accessibility compliance.
The board authorized the purchase of two budgeted Z‑trak mowers (approx. $27,131.34) from Robert E. Little Inc., and approved the consent agenda including payment of the bills list totaling $1,904,194.46. All motions listed here carried unanimously (5‑0).
What’s next: project‑level approvals for George School phases will return to the board as individual land‑development applications; website implementation is scheduled for completion by December 2026 pending contract finalization.
