Charl A. F. Shelton told the Monroe Township Zoning Board on June 8 that an extended driveway installed about 20 years ago was built without permits and she sought a side‑yard variance to legalize the existing concrete pad at 405 Radics Road.
Shelton testified the additional concrete was put in around 2006 and that the adjacent parcel had been family property, limiting neighbor impact. Board members said the driveway appears to be an existing nonconforming condition and confirmed there have been no public complaints recorded. Counsel and members clarified that the variance approves the concrete pad as a driveway only and does not authorize placing a shed or other structure there without a separate application.
The board voted to approve the zero‑foot side‑yard variance. A memorializing resolution will be prepared and shared with zoning staff so Shelton can proceed with required permits.
