Peachtree City’s Planning Commission approved a conceptual site plan on June 8 for a 16,628-square-foot expansion to an industrial building at 240 Park Court.
Staff said the project, reviewed as a conceptual plan from Rochester and Associates, adds nine parking spaces for a proposed total of 59 spaces—11 more than the staff said the code requires for the expanded use. Staff also noted that Parkade Court is not a major thoroughfare, so no architectural review was required for the expansion.
Bill Foley, representing the applicant, described the proposal as the third expansion for the company and said the new space will allow the business to install robotic equipment and retain local jobs. “He’s got computerized equipment and makes parts for Chick-fil-A,” Foley said, and company representative Randy Williams reported the business has 48 employees.
Commissioners asked clarifying questions about visibility, wetlands and golf-cart access and expressed support for retention and business expansion. The commission moved and approved the conceptual site plan by voice vote.
