On May 11 the Borough authorized Manager Brad Flynn to execute the purchase agreement for a Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab public works pickup from COSTARS dealer Brown-Daub at a cost of $76,104.54. The Commonwealth Finance Authority grant will cover $65,708.37 (about 86%) and the Borough will pay the remaining $10,396.17 from its Liquid Fuels Allocation Equipment account. Council approved the motion by voice vote (recorded as 4-0).
Manager Flynn presented the purchase with the grant funding allocation; Council did not record competing proposals or amendments. The authorization allows staff to complete procurement steps consistent with the COSTARS contract and grant conditions.
Next steps: Manager Flynn will execute the purchase agreement and coordinate receipt and outfitting of the vehicle under grant and municipal procurement rules.
