The Dubuque County Board of Supervisors approved a slate of consent and action items at its Feb. 2 meeting, including minutes corrections, financial reports, bidding notices, plats and lease agreements.
Supervisor Anne moved to approve corrected minutes that change the Jan. 20 entry to "authorize the chair to sign the letter of support" for a Street Farms application; the motion carried by voice vote.
The board accepted the treasurer's semiannual report and approved a notice to bidders for HMA resurfacing on Hamaran Road (Project LOST-P26 (2-73-31)). It also approved a notice of public hearing for proposed zoning-ordinance amendments scheduled for the 17th and approved the final plat for Schwaer's Farm Subdivision.
Among action items the board resolved to authorize hiring deputies, assistants and clerks for Sunnycrest (one position), abate delinquent taxes per the treasurer's recommendation and approve plans and specifications for the Hamaran Road resurfacing project. Members also approved a lease agreement with Bernard Rescue Unit Incorporated to store equipment in the Bernard maintenance shop.
The board authorized the chair to sign a packet item listed in the agenda as a Dubuque Nature Everywhere "bridal of rights" (as transcribed in the meeting packet); a supervisor asked whether that implied future funding requests and was told no funding had been requested in the packet. All items were approved by voice vote.
